Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Supervisor Athletic Training in Orthopedics to lead sports medicine outreach efforts, coordinate programs with schools and youth clubs, and advance professional development within the team.

Under the direction of the Director of Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, this role oversees staff performance, builds community relationships, and ensures adherence to Mercy standards while improving patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training.
• Licensed Athletic Trainer by the state of practice Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.
• 5+ years of experience in sports medicine.
• Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer and Professional Rescuer CPR or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct Mercy's sports medicine outreach staff and community relationships.
• Monitor coworker performance and assist in annual reviews.
• Serve as liaison with medical practices in the community.
• Maintain knowledge of the profession and department policies and procedures.
