Job summary

Lindenwood University is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer (10 Month) to provide athletic training services for intercollegiate programs. The role collaborates with the program coordinator to supervise, instruct, and evaluate athletic training students.

Responsibilities include clinical injury management, documentation, and coordination with physicians. The position requires a Master’s degree, BOC certification, and Missouri licensure eligibility, with experience in a college setting

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required or equivalent
• BOC Certification required
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in Missouri
• Minimum of five years’ experience in college/university setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with the overall administration of the athletic training program
• Evaluates, treats, and rehabs athletic injuries and instructs athletes on injury prevention
• Maintains accurate medical records and communicates with the sports medicine team
• Provides practice and game coverage
• Coordinates medical insurance claims
• Oversees student employees and their schedules
• Precepts and evaluates clinical performance of students
• Attends preceptor training and seminars
• Maintains licensure and ethics compliance
