IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, is seeking a Temporary Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive athletic training services to student-athletes under the Head of Athletic Training. The assignment is expected to run through May 2027 with potential for permanent opportunities after completion.

The role involves treating injuries, maintaining records, initial injury assessments, and collaboration with physicians to develop rehab programs.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in athletic training required.
• NATABOC certification as athletic trainer.
• Minimum 3+ years of athletic training experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.

Mansioni

• Treat athletic injuries including prevention, assessment, treatment and reconditioning.
• Maintain accurate injury/treatment records and provide forms as needed.
• Conduct initial assessment to determine emergency care or referrals.
• Assist with athletic training coverage for multiple sports, ages 13–19.

Position Summary

The Athletic Trainer, Temporary will provide Athletic Training Services to student athletes under the direction of the Head of the Athletic Training in accordance with state athletic training practices.

The temporary assignment is expected to continue through May 2027, with the potential for consideration for permanent opportunities within the organization upon completion of the assignment.

Position Responsibilities

• Treat athletic injuries including prevention, assessment, treatment and reconditioning
• Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments and provide forms as appropriate
• Conduct an initial assessment of an athlete's injury or illness in order to provide emergency or continued care, and to determine whether they should be referred to physicians for definitive diagnosis and treatment.
• Assist with athletic training covering multiple sports with athletes ranging from 13-19 years old.
• Apply protective or injury preventive devices such as tape, bandages, or braces to body parts such as ankles, fingers, or wrists.
• Assess and report the progress of recovering athletes to coaches and physicians.
• Collaborate with physicians in order to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries.
• Evaluate athletes' readiness to play, and provide participation clearances when necessary and warranted.
• Responsible for following all HIPAA regulations and guidelines
• Responsible for following all OSHA guidelines
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Master’s Degree in Athletic Training
• National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Training certification
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in athletic training
• Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

• High School Athletic Training experience
• Bilingual

Physical Demands And Work Environment

• Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
• Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
