Job summary

Dominican University of California is seeking an Athletic Trainer to maintain student-athlete health across 15 teams at the San Rafael campus. You will provide coverage at practices and competitions, coordinate physician clinic visits, and oversee post-injury rehabilitation in collaboration with therapists and coaches.

This role also handles insurance billing, schedules physician appointments, and develops injury-prevention programs with strength and conditioning staff while serving as a liaison

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• ATC, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid required.
• Must be willing to consent to background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate annual physicals and concussion testing for student-athletes.
• Provide coverage for practices, games, and post-game care.
• Evaluate injuries, coordinate medical referrals, and manage rehabilitation plans.
• Manage insurance records and liaise with insurers and physicians’ billing representatives.
• Coordinate team physicians’ clinic and ensure scheduling consistency.
