Mercy seeks a dedicated Athletic Trainer to support a local Springfield High School. You will provide prevention, evaluation, immediate care and rehabilitation for active students and athletes to maximize safe return to activity.
The role emphasizes professional development, adherence to Mercy standards, and collaboration within a caring team. Occasional outreach and travel may be required to support program needs.

Graduate of athletic training program from accredited college or university.
State of practice licensure or eligible for Athletic Trainer is required.

Certification through the Board of Certification, Inc. Professional Rescuer CPR or its equivalent.
This individual must be trained and capable of performing patient care and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age‑specific needs, and to provide the care needed.
Clinical and/or Outreach Athletic Training settings. The individual must be very adaptable and willing to work occasional odd hours. There will be occasional weekend work and travel required throughout the year.
Master's Degree in athletic training or related field is preferred.
Some experience Preferred, but not required.
National Athletic Trainers Association certification as an athletic trainer.
