Job summary

milebluff is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive medical care for active individuals across diverse settings. You will cover contracted high school events, evaluate injuries, and manage rehabilitation while coordinating with athletes, parents, and coaches.

The role requires a WisconsinAT license, BOC certification, and a valid driver’s license, with additional responsibilities in concussion care and return-to-play planning. A sign-on bonus up to $7,500 is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
• 1+ years related work experience.
• Must hold Wisconsin Athletic Trainer license.
• BOC certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Cover athletic events and after-school activities at a contracted high school.
• Prevent, evaluate, and manage athletic injuries; collect histories and perform evaluations.
• Communicate findings and plan of action with athlete, parent, and coach.
• Concussion management and safe return-to-play progression.
• Document treatments and evaluations.
• Observe and analyze causes to prevent future injuries.
• Coordinate schedules for event coverage.
• Work as a physician extender in the orthopedic clinic.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
