Job summary

The Athletic Trainer will protect the health and well-being of students in athletic activities at schools throughout the region. You will minimize conditions that would limit participation and work to prevent injuries, recognizing injuries and referring patients for ongoing care.

You will advise families, coaches and collaborating physicians on athlete status and guide therapy exercises and daily activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Graduate of an accredited Athletic Trainers Program.
  • Current AT licensure with state Athletic Trainers Board.
  • Skilled in athletic training/physical therapy modalities, equipment and documentation.
  • Familiar with hospital policy and procedures related to PT.
  • 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Protect the health and well-being of students in athletic activities.
  • Minimize conditions that limit participation and help prevent injuries.
  • Recognize injuries and refer for ongoing care.
  • Advise family, coaches and physicians on athlete status.
  • Work with athletes on exercises, ambulation and daily activities.
