Great opportunity to work with Parsons High School Athletes!!

Summary: This position is primarily responsible for providing athletic training services to local athletes in a variety of settings. The trainer facilitates training and injury prevention of area athletes as directed by the team physician (if available), via oral or written referral, and/or in accordance with the Kansas State Athletic Training Practice Act. Additional responsibilities may include coordinating community, school, and workplace wellness initiatives within or outside of the Center of Rehabilitation Excellence (C.O.R.E.), overseeing the fitness center, and managing wellness activities. Reports to the Rehabilitation Services Director and/or Sports Medicine Medical Director. This position requires attending local sports events to provide basic trainer services.

Qualifications:

• Must possess at least a bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
• Be BOC certified, licensed, registered in Kansas as an ATC.
• Certification in basic life-saving skills; advanced life-saving certification preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Current certification in first aid and basic life support skills.
• Knowledge of lifesaving techniques, hazard recognition, and effective communication skills.
