Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) is responsible for providing sports medicine services to schools and programs that contract with the facility, including event coverage, injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, while ensuring professional compliance and administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the delivery of sports medicine services through outreach programs.
- Provide coverage of athletic events and deliver sports medicine services.
- Demonstrate compliance with professional responsibilities to ensure high standards.
- Perform, complete and participate in administrative and educational programs and assignments.
- Provide services through a physician/trainer/therapist team in a clinical setting.
- Make appropriate referrals for sports injury related care.
- Work with coaches, athletes, and medical professionals to evaluate, treat and monitor sports-related injuries and discuss treatment goals.
- Design rehabilitation, return-to-play, and training programs for athletes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
- Certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association.
- Graduate of an accredited athletic training program.
- BLS certification.Compliance with NATA standards, role delineation, and applicable laws.
- Expert knowledge of sports-related injuries and their management.
- Problem solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and attentive.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and decision-making ability.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
