Ravenscroft is an independent, coeducational day school in Raleigh, NC, with approximately 1,250 students in grades PreK-12.

Ravenscroft School is seeking an experienced Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training coverage in a part-time capacity (2 afternoons/evenings per week, averaging 10 hours per week). Candidates must be Licensed and Nationally Board Certified NATA Sports Medicine Athletic Trainers with experience in middle/secondary school settings.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid, injury assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning for middle and high school student-athletes.
  • Offer coverage at all home athletic events and practices during fall to spring sports seasons; coverage for away events during fall as assigned.
  • Communicate with the team physician regarding treatment and rehabilitation plans.
  • Update parents on the care and treatment of their student-athletes.
  • Maintain accurate injury and treatment records in the MAGNUS electronic system.
  • File injury reports with Human Resources for insurance purposes.
  • Keep the athletic training room clean and organized.
  • Work evenings and weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Licensed and Board Certified NATA Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer.
  • CPR/Emergency Cardiac Care certification.
  • Experience in middle/secondary school settings is highly preferred.
