Indiana University Health (IU Health) is seeking a PRN athletic trainer to join its outreach team. The position requires a Master’s or a pre-2023 Bachelor’s in athletic training, 0–3 years of experience, Indiana licensure eligibility, BOC certification, and BLS/Professional Rescuer

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in athletic training or Bachelor’s in athletic training before 2023.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Indiana State Athletic Training Licensure or eligible.
• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross Professional Rescuer required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, treats, and rehabilitates athletic injuries under physician guidance.
• Contributes to planning and implementing treatment and prevention programs for patients and student groups.
• Coordinates and provides sports medicine and rehabilitation services with completed procedures and documentation.

This is a Flat Rate PRN position for our Outreach team.

Assesses, treats, and rehabilitates athletic injuries under the guidance of a licensed physician. Contributes to the planning and implementation of specific treatment and prevention programs for patients and student groups. Coordinates and provides sports medicine and/or rehabilitation services ensuring ordered procedures, treatments, and documentation are completed. Provides athletic training services for athletic, community, and outreach events.

• Requires a Master's Degree from an accredited academic program in athletic training or a Bachelor's Degree in athletic training prior to 2023.
• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Indiana State Athletic Training Licensure or eligible is required.
• Must be a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross Professional Rescuer is required.
