Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. seeks an Athletic Trainer to provide direct care and athletic injury management at the Palisades SD site. The role covers prevention, evaluation, immediate care, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and reconditioning within physician oversight.

Responsibilities include on-site coverage during events, designing and updating treatment plans, educating players and coaches, and ensuring compliant documentation. Travel within 50 miles and day shift work are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program.
• Less than 1 year experience in the clinical setting.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, body’s response to exercise, and nutrition.
• Knowledge of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and psychological demands placed on the injured athlete.
• Knowledge of compliance plans, HIPAA, and quality assurance programs.
• Computer literate with experience in practice management software, EHRs, and Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to plan, implement, document and refer to appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Ability to travel within 50 miles of assigned partner location.

Aufgaben

• Conduct thorough evaluations of injuries and illnesses, including assessment, examination, and diagnosis of acute, chronic, and emergent conditions.
• Provide onsite medical coverage and injury management during practices, games, and other contractually obligated sporting events as assigned.
• Provide immediate and emergency medical care for injured athletes and patients.
• Design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans based on progress.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions in line with physician direction and standards.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and other healthcare professionals; facilitate referrals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions.
• Educate athletes, patients, families, and coaches on prevention and rehabilitation expectations.
• Assist with seasonal sports physicals.
