Position Summary:
We are seeking an Athletic Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will support our Sports Orthopedic clinical and educational programs, implement injury prevention strategies, provide emergency care and first aid, evaluate athletic injuries, and develop medically prescribed therapeutic reconditioning programs in schools. The role also involves providing school sports coverage across various educational levels and developing community outreach and educational programs aligned with our departmental and institutional goals. The Athletic Trainer will assist in program development and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program, NYS Department of Education Athletic Training License, BOC Certification, CPR and AED Certification, strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Required Licenses: Athletic Trainer
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in athletic training, 5 years of experience, and certifications such as CSCS, CSCCA, or ACSM.
Qualified candidates must communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
