UCHealth in Denver, CO is seeking an Athletic Trainer for an onsite Sports Medicine role. You will provide direct patient care in a physician office setting, supporting the care plan, casting and assistive devices, and patient/family education.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, NATA-BOC certification, Colorado LAT licensure and BLS, with at least one year in orthopedics. It is a day-shift, full-time onsite role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualificações

• Certification by The Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (NATA-BOC). Licensure with the State of Colorado (DORA) as an Athletic Trainer (LAT). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum experience: 1 year in an orthopedic setting providing direct patient care. Experience working with orthopedic/sports medicine physicians.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or Red Cross with card in-hand before start date; renewals must be issued by AHA.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $25.80 - $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:

Provides direct patient care, in a medical/physician office setting.

Responsibilities:

Evaluates, plans, implements and coordinates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines and serves as a liaison to coordinate patient care.

Assists the physician and advanced practice provider in the prescribed plan of care. Measures, applies and adjusts casts, splints, braces and ambulatory assistive devices.

Provides clinical education and expert guidance to patients and families as it pertains to procedures and plan of care.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

• Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree. Continuing education in the field.

• Required Licensure/Certification: Certification by The Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (NATA-BOC). Licensure with the State of Colorado (DORA) as an Athletic Trainer (LAT). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.

• Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience in an orthopedic setting providing direct patient care. Experience working in conjunction with orthopedic/sports medicine physicians.

• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All renewals must be issued by the American Heart Association.
