Basic Function

The Athletic Trainer, Certified, provides functions related to athletic injuries, including prevention, assessment, treatment (including first aid), and reconditioning, in accordance with the Athletic Trainer’s Board of Certification and Ohio Athletic Training laws. The Athletic Trainer follows established procedures as per the Standard Operating Procedure.

The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) offers rehabilitation treatments, patient education, and maintains patient records under the supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine, performing delegated tasks within their education and training scope.

Education, Training & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
• Current Athletic Trainer’s Board of Certification.
• Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the State of Ohio.
• CPR Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Computer literacy required.
