Job Description - Athletic Trainer LCHS (7425-3297)

Position: Athletic Trainer - LCHS

Location: Based at one of three Lawrence County High Schools: Lawrence County High School, Loretto High School, or Summertown High School

Reports to: Director of Physician Services

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

EEO Classification: Technicians

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepares athletes for practice or competition.
  • Evaluates and manages injuries; determines if referral is necessary.
  • Maintains medical files for each athlete.
  • Acts as a liaison between athletes, coaches, physicians, and community outreach.
  • Designs and implements injury prevention programs.
  • Develops conditioning, treatment, and rehabilitation programs under physician supervision.
Minimum Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Active Athletic Trainer license in Tennessee.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications as applicable.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Critical thinking and decisive judgment skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a stressful environment.
Work Schedule:

Day shift, 7-10 hours per shift, weekdays only.
