Job summary

Ascension Health in Racine, WI, seeks a licensed Athletic Trainer to join the Rehabilitation department. The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with afternoons 12pm–8pm and occasional weekends, supporting athletes with injury prevention, conditioning, and recovery programs.

Responsibilities include evaluating injuries, maintaining medical documentation, and coordinating with physicians and sports performance staff to prepare athletes for practice and competition.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration required before hire.
• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years experience OR Associate's degree OR 4 years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess injuries and manage comprehensive treatment programs for athletes.
• Develop conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes with nutrition plans and schedules.
• Design and implement training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness.
• Evaluate and manage injuries and maintain medical documentation.
• Act as liaison between physician and athlete and prep athletes for practice or competition.
