Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or Physiology.
• Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer (BOC).
• Licensed as Athletic Trainer in WV when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site injury prevention, taping, bracing, and warm-up supervision before practices/games.
• Responds to acute injuries and emergencies during practices and games.
• Conducts injury evaluations, coordinates referrals, and communicates with parents, coaches, and physicians.
• Manages concussion protocols, return-to-play progression, and hydration/heat illness monitoring.
• Travels with teams as needed, often afternoons/evenings/weekends.
• Maintains detailed treatment records and ensures HIPAA compliance.
