Position Overview

Pivot Onsite Innovations has an immediate need for an experienced and passionate Industrial Athletic Trainer at our client's site in DeSoto, Kansas. This position offers an opportunity to work at a dynamic worksite and make an impact on employee health, wellness, and safety!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6pm - 2am

Job Summary

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will develop and oversee injury management and health improvement programs for employees, focusing on injury prevention, evaluation, ergonomic assessments, OSHA emergency/first aid, health education, and worksite health promotion.

Position Responsibilities
  • Conduct wellness assessments and ergonomic risk analyses
  • Develop site-specific wellness initiatives
  • Design ergonomic interventions using innovative solutions and employee empowerment
  • Provide first-aid management for musculoskeletal complaints
  • Perform orthopedic injury assessments and participate in injury prevention education
  • Coordinate treatment plans including therapeutic exercises and work conditioning
  • Handle administrative tasks like data collection, documentation, and reporting
  • Create a trustful environment to promote injury and illness prevention
  • Communicate with safety personnel and advocate for injured employees
  • Attend meetings and serve on committees
  • Potentially author articles for newsletters and intranet
  • Position may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination
Position Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Board Certification (BOC)
  • State licensure/certification
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred:
  • At least 2 years of athletic training experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA Recordability and workers' compensation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience in ergonomics or occupational health
  • CEAS/OSHA10 certification
