Position Summary:

1. Provide athletic training services for Recreational Sports & Fitness Services (RSFS) students/participants, including injury care, evaluations, referrals, record keeping, and follow-up.
2. Design and execute rehabilitation exercises, educate coaching staff, athletes, and others on injury prevention and care.
3. Maintain emergency care protocols, fabricate orthopedic devices, and ensure equipment safety.
4. Keep detailed records using sports injury management software and oversee student athletic trainers.
5. Coordinate medical insurance claims and participate in athletic training education programs.
6. Collaborate with university departments and serve as a liaison with intercollegiate athletics and health centers.
7. Travel to various facilities; work hours include weekends and variable schedules based on program needs.

• Coaches and physicians
• Student athletes and trainers
• Colleagues and healthcare consultants

Minimum Requirements:

• Post-bachelor’s education (e.g., Master’s in Physical Education or related field)
• 3-5 years of relevant athletic training experience or equivalent
• Certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA)
