Job summary

The Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) will be assigned to a high school and provide community-based prevention, care, coverage and rehabilitation for athletes, under supervision of the physician, physical therapist, physician assistant and/or nurse practitioner.

Requires BS/BA, BOC certification, SC licensure, and a 40-hour work week with weekends/evenings to cover practices, games and events; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college with a BS/BA. (Masters degree in Athletic Training preferred).
• BOC Certification and SC licensure required.
• Weekend and evening hours to cover practices, games, tournaments and events.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based prevention, care, coverage and rehabilitation for athletic injuries.
• Coordinate referrals and marketing for musculoskeletal injuries within a school environment.
