Job description

Athletic Trainer - High School Outreach

Location: Springfield, MO

Overview:

Provide services related to prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care, and rehabilitation for all active individuals and sports-related injuries. The overall goal is to maximize safe return to activity. The individual will demonstrate professional development and responsibility within the field of athletic training. Duties will be performed in accordance with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited athletic training program.
  • Licensure: Active state license or eligibility for licensure in Missouri.
  • Certifications: Certification through the Board of Certification, Professional Rescuer CPR, or equivalent.
  • Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Capable of performing patient care, assessing data, and interpreting information to identify patient needs based on age-specific requirements.
  • Working Conditions: Clinical and outreach athletic training settings, with occasional odd hours, weekend work, and travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Certification: NATA certification as an athletic trainer.
  • Experience: Some experience preferred.
