Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to deliver high school and community sports medicine services, while assisting in clinics under supervision. You will educate patients and families on injury prevention and rehabilitation and act as a liaison among coaches, athletes, parents and physicians.

Role requires TN licensure, BOC certification, CPR, and ability to work autonomously in a dynamic school and clinic environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Licensed in state of practice as an Athletic Trainer.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to work autonomously with school staff and athletes.
• Adhere to TN State laws and TSSAA guidelines.
• Basic PC skills including EMR, databases and MS Office.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide sports medicine services at a high school and community events.
• Assist in the clinic under a Physical Therapist’s supervision.
• Educate patients and families on injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• Serve as a liaison between coaches, athletes, parents and physicians.
• Maintain compliance with state laws and practice guidelines for Athletic Trainers.
• Support a positive team environment in clinic and outreach settings.
• Keep treatment areas, equipment and supplies clean and organized.
