Saint Marys University of Minnesota is seeking an athletic trainer to coordinate the healthcare of Student-Athletes in conjunction with the sports medicine staff. The role includes educating athletes on general health habits and providing medical coverage at events to support safe participation and well-being.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor s degree (master s preferred), NATABOC certification, and is licensed or eligible for Minnesota licensure, with CPR/First Aid credentials and 2+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred.
• NATABOC certification in athletic training.
• Licensed or eligible for Minnesota licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
• CPR and first aid certification.
• 2 years of experience preferred or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Daily instruction of Student-Athletes on rehabilitation exercises post injury to support safe return to play.
• Implement treatment, care and rehabilitation per team physician protocols.
• Evaluate and direct emergency medical attention for seriously injured student-athletes.
• Supervise and clinically instruct Athletic Training students in the program.
• Coordinate with team physicians/physical therapists to administer treatment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure availability of daily materials.
• Develop and implement an injury tracking data system and documentation.
• Provide certified athletic trainer coverage for practices and events with daily scheduling.
• Schedule preseason screenings and evaluations for freshmen.
• Maintain facility and equipment cleanliness and readiness.
• Monitor physicals, first-year evaluations, and consent documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
