Job summary

Confluent Health in the Metro Atlanta area is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes. The role requires collaboration with team physicians, physical therapists, and coaching staff to ensure comprehensive care.

The ideal candidate will hold a BS degree and NATA certification, with CPR and First Aid as desirable qualifications, and 2 years of athletic training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documentation of and maintaining accurate injury records.
• Organization of rehabilitation and injury prevention programs.

• Coordination and oversight of all necessary medical referrals.
• Collaboration with team physicians, physical therapists, and other allied health-care professional providers.
• Direct communication with coaches, parents, student-athletes, athletic administration, and other stakeholders when appropriate.
• Athletic Training Room coverage during scheduled open hours to see walk-in athletes.
• Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Promote and support the strategic plan of the School Athletics and Emory vision of Sports Medicine Outreach.

We serve a wide variety of patients, and are currently seeking an Athletic Trainer for the Metro Atlanta area. Our AT’s cover ALL sports and home games, travel with football and any other sport based on need of the athletes, coaches and Athletic Directors discretion.

The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for injury prevention and treatment of the athletes.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the assisting in the administration of all aspects of injury/illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, rehabilitation, and health care education and counseling for student athletes participating in the athletics program. This may include some nights, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel as necessary with selected teams.

• Athletic Training Room coverage. This will include being present in the Athletic Training Room during scheduled open hours to see walk-in athletes.
• Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned and commensurate with the normal activities related to sport athletic training service.
• Promote and support the strategic plan of the School Athletics and the Emory vision of Sports Medicine Outreach.

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications:

• BS degree required
• NATA certification required
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR Card
• Basic First Aid is desirable

Experience and Skills:

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Current NATABOC certification and eligibility for licensure in the state of Georgia
• Ability to work effectively and independently with students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members.
• Strong writing, communication, administrative and organizational skills.
• Two years of athletic training experience is preferred.
