Job summary

Scottish Rite for Children in Frisco seeks an Athletic Trainer for PRN community event coverage at our Sports Medicine Center and affiliated ambulatory sites. This role supports athletic outreach, injury prevention education, and rapid response to injuries during events open to the public and to patients treated in our clinics.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in athletic training, is licensed in Texas, and CPR certified; BOC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited athletic training program or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred
• BOC certification preferred
• License in the state of Texas
• CPR required

Responsibilities

• Athletic Trainers coordinate and provides coverage for outside events on behalf of the Sports Medicine Center
• Assist in the assessment and treatment of sport-related injuries at events designated by the Scotitsh Rite
• Provide sports injury assessment at events, and on-site care of athletic injuries, such as immediate first aid and evaluation of injury status
• Refer athletes requiring additional medical or health care services to the appropriate resources for such care (for example, the athlete’s primary care physician or nearest hospital)
