IU Health West Hospital in Avon, Indiana is seeking a Full-time Athletic Trainer to work in an outpatient clinic under the supervision of the clinic/practice manager and providers. You will assist with in-office procedures, treatments, casting, patient education, and ensure efficient patient flow.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, 1–3 years of relevant experience, Indiana licensure or eligibility, BOC certification, and BLS/Red Cross certification.

Qualificações

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in athletic training (prior to 2023).
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Indiana State Athletic Training Licensure or eligible is required.
• Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross Professional Rescuer is required.

Responsabilidades

• Works with providers in an outpatient clinic under supervision; assists with procedures, treatments, casting, education, and patient flow.
• Contributes to home exercise programs, implements care plans, and participates in team-based care to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Requires a Master's Degree from an accredited academic program in athletic training or a Bachelor's Degree in athletic training prior to 2023.
• Requires 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Indiana State Athletic Training Licensure or eligible is required.
• Must be a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross Professional Rescuer is required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Works with provider(s) in an outpatient clinic under the supervision of the clinic/practice manager and provider(s). Performs duties associated with direct patient care in accordance with the organization standards. Assists the providers with in-office procedures, treatments, casting, patient education, and assuring efficient patient flow. Patient education will range from explaining next steps in the treatment plan, to educating patients through a home exercise program or bracing. May perform computerized provider order entry per provider. Participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve set outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. May perform duties associated with symptom-management, direct in-clinic patient care, telehealth patient care, quality improvement activities, and other duties as assigned.
