Athletic Trainer Certified (ATC) - Clinical

We are a busy orthopedic practice in Louisville, Kentucky looking to hire a Clinical Assistant. The individual should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, a team player, capable of multitasking, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Position Title: ATC

Reports to: Office Manager

Clinical Assistant Duties

1. Patient care responsibilities as assigned, which may include scheduling and organizing patient flow, accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assist patients with changing to exam gowns, and transfer to exam table if needed.
2. Assess the patient’s general condition and collect patient history.
3. Document health history, activities, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
4. Provide basic patient care as ordered by the physician and assist the physician with various procedures.
5. Provide patient education materials, communicate physician advice/instructions to patients.
6. Cast and splint application and removal.
7. Fit patients with braces, boots, other DME as ordered by a physician.
8. Suture and staple removal.
9. Sterile tray set-ups.
10. Schedule surgery, hospital procedures, and pre- and post-op appointments.
11. Schedule referrals to other physicians.
12. Perform/assist with EMG/NCV studies when applicable.
13. Clean and stock exam rooms.
14. Help with prescription refill requests.
15. Adhere to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.
16. Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Red Flag Rules.

Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
