Sentara Health Plans is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer for outreach in the Hampton Roads area, covering Portsmouth middle/high schools and the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex in Norfolk, VA. The role requires evaluating and treating athletes, traveling with teams, and providing prevention and education at events and practices.

The candidate will hold a minimum Bachelor's degree in athletic training with VA licensure, BOC certification, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree in athletic training is required.
• Certification as Athletic Trainer with VA license and BOC.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, advise, treat and educate athletes to maintain peak physical fitness.
• Travel with teams to events and practices for prevention, maintenance, and assistance.
• Provide emergency care and educate athletes on injury prevention.
