$22.90/hr - $34.35/hr
Under the supervising physician(s), and in close cooperation with the contracted high school, athletic director and its designees, the athletic trainer will take measures necessary and appropriate for preventing, evaluating, diagnosing and treating athletic related injuries. In addition to providing athletic training services at the high school, the athletic trainer will also provide high quality care to Cheshire Medical Center patients. Clinically, the athletic trainer will assist in the daily flow and operation of the orthopedic clinic with duties including but not limited to: taking patient histories, communication with attending physician, educating patients in therapeutic exercises, application/removal of plaster casts/splints, chart documentation, patient triaging, staple/suture removal, and fitting of appropriate Durable Medical Equipment.
Graduation from a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Program . One year experience as a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer recommended, but new graduates welcome to apply. Current NATA BOC recognition as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as an Athletic Trainer in the State of New Hampshire. BLS - within 3 months of hire and maintained on a biannual basis.
