Job summary

CaroMont Health seeks an experienced athletic trainer to coordinate and provide sports medicine services across the community, schools and therapy clinics in Gastonia, NC.

You will perform athletic training evaluations and procedures, collaborate with school officials and the CaroMont Health Outreach Team, and help develop and grow sports medicine programs within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• NCBATE licensure and NATA Board of Certification required.
• On-field experience in athletic training preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Job description

Job Summary:

To coordinate and provide sports medicine services in the community, schools and therapy clinics. Performs a wide variety of athletic training evaluations and procedures in the care and treatment of athletes. Coordinates and works closely with school officials, including the Athletic Director and Coaches. Additionally, he coordinates with CaroMont Health Sports Medicine Outreach Team, Director of Rehab Services and Service Line Director to provide Sports Medicine Services and program development and growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university. NCBATE licensure as well as NATA Board of Certification are required. Work experience in athletic training, including on-field experience, is preferred. Considerable knowledge of physical therapy and sports medicine terminology, procedures, and techniques. Thorough skill in performing athletic training procedures. Ability to deal tactfully with family members, athletes, coaches, school employees, physicians, community and hospital personnel. Considerable judgment is required in working with athletes and performing treatments. BLS certification required.
