The Perkiomen Valley School District is seeking two (2) full-time Athletic Trainers, with positions available starting July 1, 2025.
The Athletic Trainer works under the direction of the Athletic Director and is responsible for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of athletic injuries and illnesses in student-athletes, as defined in the Team Physician Standing Orders Protocol. This role involves close collaboration with coaches, students, parents/guardians, and medical professionals to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer also plays a key role in educating the school community on injury prevention and rehabilitation.
Terms of Employment
Education, Training, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience working with high school or collegiate athletes preferred.
Certification and/or Licensure Requirements
Athletic Training Licensure (ATC) from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Training
CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
PIAA/NWCA Minimum Wrestling Weight Assessor Certification (can be obtained after employment)
Maintain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in accordance with BOC requirements
