Lebanon Valley College seeks an experienced and dedicated athletic trainer to join the Department of Athletics. Reporting to the associate athletic director of sports medicine and working under the direction of the team physician, this 10-month position (August 1–May 31 annually) plays a vital role in providing comprehensive health care services for LVC student-athletes. The athletic trainer is responsible for delivering athletic training services, including injury prevention, clinical evaluation, emergency care, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play planning. The successful candidate will assist in the coordination and administration of the College's sports medicine program and collaborate closely with physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to promote the health, safety, and well-being of student-athletes. The position also provides education and counseling to student-athletes regarding injury prevention, wellness, and recovery. Preferred candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in athletic training or a closely related field and a minimum of four years of professional experience, or a master's degree and at least two years of professional experience, certification by the Board of Certification (BOC), Pennsylvania Athletic Trainer licensure (or eligibility for licensure); CPR/AED and First Aid certification; familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations; and experience with strength and conditioning principles. The successful candidate must be available to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required by athletic schedules. The position requires the ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation or assistance) and possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
