Loyola University Chicago seeks a licensed or license-eligible mental health professional to provide confidential counseling for student-athletes at the Wellness Center on the Rogers Park-LSC campus.

You will conduct initial visits, group and brief individual therapy, perform mental health screenings, and collaborate with psychiatrists and team physicians. The role requires evening hours and active participation in campus-wide mental health initiatives and athletics programming.

Qualifications

• Master’s in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
• Experience counseling college student-athletes and understanding athletic culture.
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience with college/young adult population.
• Licensed or license-eligible in Illinois (LCSW/LCPC or psychologist).
• Ability to work evening hours.

Responsabilités

• Provide confidential counseling and mental health services to Loyola student-athletes.
• Conduct initial visits, group counseling, and brief individual therapy.
• Perform mental health screenings and maintain records.
• Consult with psychiatrists and team physicians about medications.
• Provide crisis management and risk assessment.
• Engage in outreach and educational programs for student-athletes.
• Attend team practices when possible.
• Serve on Athletics Wellness Team.
