Job summary

The Athletic Instructor position with H-F Park District supports youth athletic programs through safe, engaging instruction and active supervision. You will plan lessons, supervise assistants, enforce district policies, and collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality, safe recreational experiences for participants.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external guests by being friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful.
• Conduct a safe and educational program with proper supervision of athletic assistants.
• Develop a lesson plan for the program and keep the Recreation Supervisor informed of progress.
• Enforce Park District policies and ensure proper conduct at facilities.
• Manage equipment, gather participant feedback, and relay it to supervision.
• Adhere to Safety Manual procedures and assist with related duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Athletic Instructor shall be responsible for the instructional phase of any athletic or sport-oriented program, enforcing Park District policies regarding programs, conducting a safe and beneficial program, and act in the best interest of the Park District while on duty.
