Job summary

Arlington Independent School District is seeking a Grounds Crew Lead to maintain district grounds and supervise the Groundskeepers. The role includes daily maintenance, operations, and application of fertilizers and herbicides to keep campus grounds safe and attractive.

The position requires experience in grounds keeping, supervisory duties, and knowledge of chemical safety. Ability to operate heavy equipment and lift up to 50 lbs is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Athletic Groundskeepers and ensures staff follow AISD policies.
• Follow AISD safety procedures as in AISD safety handbook.
• Maintain grounds to ensure district athletic facilities are safe and well kept.
• Oversee operation and care of assigned service vehicle, tools and equipment.
• Maintain preventive maintenance for health and safety of students and staff.
• Handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
