Job summary

Sprowls Horizon Sports Park is seeking a Part-Time Facility Maintenance Supervisor to manage maintenance operations and athletic fields under the Facilities Manager. The role involves supervising staff, scheduling, and ensuring safe, high-quality playing surfaces for tournaments and events.

You will oversee field maintenance, irrigation systems, and routine grounds care, while coordinating with management on renovations and special projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in turf management or related field preferred.
• Experience maintaining natural grass and synthetic surfaces.
• Irrigation repair/maintenance knowledge is a plus.
• Able to calibrate and operate turf spray rig and walk spreader.
• Willing to work long hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Lead by example and promote a positive image.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling part-time maintenance team.
• Oversee staff and completion of maintenance tasks.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies.
• Provide guest-focused service and knowledge of park offerings.
• Open/close facility.
• Record incidents during league play as MOD to ensure safety and OSHA/ADA compliance.
• Mow, edge, sod, aerate, and irrigate athletic fields and surrounding areas.
• Operate and repair irrigation systems.
• Assist with pesticide applications and maintenance updates.
• Assist with maintenance of synthetic surfaces and fields.
• Layout and paint fields and set up fencing.
• Prepare surfaces for tournaments.
• Lead staff during weekend tournaments and events.
• Assist in renovation projects on athletic fields.
• Complete special projects and daily tasks as directed.
