Job summary

Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, Illinois is seeking an Athletic Custodian for the 2nd shift (10:00 am – 6:00 pm) to support the athletic program. The 12-month position reports to the Foreman and begins immediately, with duties including maintaining equipment, sanitizing facilities, and assisting during practices and events.

Responsibilities also cover inventorying uniforms and towels, coordinating during games, preparing venues, and performing summer maintenance, with a focus on safety

Qualifications

• Lift and move bulky items (e.g., equipment, furniture)
• Maintain accurate records and inventories
• Adhere to safety procedures and handle hazardous materials
• Operate maintenance and custodial equipment as required
• Work well in a team and support athletic events

Responsibilities

• Arrange furniture/equipment for events
• Assist athletic director/coaches during events
• Clean restrooms, laundry facilities, locker rooms
• Launder uniforms and towels
• Maintain uniforms and equipment inventories
• Monitor venue setup for safety during events
• Oversee equipment distribution and verify orders
• Perform summer maintenance (floors, painting, etc.)
• Prepare materials for transport to off-site events
• Recommend equipment purchases and repairs
• Replenish locker room supplies
• Attend meetings and training
• Respond to inquiries as needed
