Job summary

Spring Grove Area School District is seeking a Game Manager – Athletic Events to supervise extracurricular athletic activities and support the Student Athletic Coordinator in running events in district facilities.

Ideal candidates will work well with students, staff and the public, adhere to district policies, and maintain confidentiality while ensuring safety and orderly operations during events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Familiarity with athletic policies and regulations established by SGASD, PIAA, YAIAA.
• Adherence to policies, rules and regulations.
• Ability to protect confidentiality and work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Arrive prepared to work at the designated time.
• Inspect playing surfaces, ensure equipment and facilities are ready, and verify officials and payments.
• Report concerns with equipment or areas in time to prepare the event.
• Provide supervision of athletic events per district and association rules.
• Assist administration and police with crowd control.
• Help SAC secure responsible personnel for activities.
• Manage gate receipts, train ticket takers, and secure cash after events.
• Collaborate with ticket takers to complete the sales report.
• Care for, maintain, and store athletic equipment after events.
• Provide feedback to the SAC on coaches and programs.
• Report unusual incidents to the SAC.
• Submit time cards per district procedures.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Student Athletic Coordinator.
