Job summary

University of Mount Union in Alliance, OH seeks an Athletic Director to lead the intercollegiate program in alignment with NCAA Division III and Ohio Athletic Conference guidelines. The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and oversees coaches, athletic training, marketing, fundraising, and strength and conditioning, including compliance and game-day operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years administrative experience in an athletic department or background in administering other athletic organizations.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division III and OAC rules and philosophy.
  • Ability to recruit student athletes and lead diverse staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall administration and management of the athletic program in line with NCAA Division III and OAC.
  • Budgeting, scheduling, travel, facility oversight, and game-day operations including ticketing and safety.
  • Supervise coaches, administrative staff, athletic training and strength programs; ensure athlete eligibility and compliance.
  • Lead marketing, NIL oversight, fundraising, and sports information/communications.
