Job summary

Cameron University Athletics is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications and Operations. You will assist the Director with content creation, media relations, and event support for 13 intercollegiate sports.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, admission to the graduate program, and availability for nights/weekends. 25–29 hours weekly and potential duties across video, photography, social media, and game operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Must be admitted to Cameron University graduate program.
• Must be able to work all home athletic games and events – nights and weekends.
• Flexible schedule 25–29 hours per week in various environments.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) preferred.
• Photography and/or video editing experience preferred.
• Website management experience preferred.
• NCAA statistics programs experience preferred.
• Expertise managing social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and post content to athletic department social media accounts.
• Assist with FloSports broadcasts and web stream productions.
• Write press releases, game recaps, and bios; maintain roster and schedules.
• Support media relations, statistics, and records maintenance at home events.
• Assist with photography, video capture, features, and archives.
• Assist supervision of athletic events and facilities.
• Support game operation functions: ticket sales, concessions, crowd management, game workers, game tech.
• Serve as game administrator for select home contests.
• Assist scheduling practices/events in all athletic facilities.
• Contribute to athletic department media campaigns and event presentations.
