Job summary

The University of Southern Indiana invites applications for the Assistant Director of Athletic Communication. The role oversees ESPN+ live video production, coordinates pre-production and directs live events, and creates engaging video content for athletics at Liberty Arena and other venues.

Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years in live athletic video production, hands-on broadcast equipment experience, and strong communication skills to enhance awareness, attendance and revenue for Athletics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in sports communication or related field.
Two to three years of experience in live athletic video production.
Hands-on experience with broadcast equipment including cameras and audio.
Knowledge of video production/editing software and social media trends.

Responsibilities

Oversight of ESPN+ live video production including pre-production and directing.
Train and evaluate video production staff in directing, producing, camera operation, graphics and replay.
Produce highlight reels and interviews; distribute content via websites and social media; archive footage.
Create fan engagement videos and content for in-venue boards; capture photos as needed.
Develop and execute digital/social media strategy for Athletics; design branded digital assets.
Coordinate video support for events (fundraisers, Hall of Fame) and provide interviews/highlights.
Serve as primary contact for varsity sports; stay compliant with NCAA/Conference rules.
Participate in ongoing education as required by NCAA/Conference/Institution.
Other duties as assigned.
