Responsibilities

• Monitor and support athletes' academic progress, ensuring eligibility and academic potential are maximized.
• Supervise instruction of fundamentals and program direction, providing equal opportunities for improvement.
• Abide by game rules and adhere to school, district, state, and national policies.
• Maintain updated team rosters by grade and ID number.
• Ensure a safe environment free of hazards.
• Maintain exemplary conduct at practices and games, promoting respect and courtesy.
• Plan and supervise practices, including conditioning programs.
• Understand injury prevention and care.
• Attend rules interpretation meetings annually and hold preseason meetings with parents and athletes.
• Support and enforce eligibility rules, advising students accordingly.
• Assist with record keeping, scheduling, and establishing awards policies.
• Communicate expectations regarding attendance, attitude, procedures, and conduct.
• Supervise athletes during practices, games, and transportation, ensuring safety and proper conduct.
