Job summary

The Detroit Athletic Club is recruiting an Athletic Attendant to maintain cleanliness and readiness of athletic areas, including Levels 3, 4, and 4M, as well as the new court. You will stock towels, water, and amenities across locker rooms and fitness spaces, ensuring a high standard of presentation.

Role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while delivering excellent customer

• Comfort with standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

The Athletic Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall readiness of all athletic areas, including Levels 3, 4, and 4M, as well as the new court. Key responsibilities include:Stocking & Replenishment: Regularly restock towels, water, and amenities throughout locker rooms, fitness spaces, and athletic floors.Cleaning & Maintenance: Ensure all outer areas, corridors, and equipment zones are kept clean, orderly, and safe at all times.Support & Readiness: Monitor supplies and promptly address member or staff requests to maintain a high standard of presentation and service.Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout the shift.Comfort with prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching while performing cleaning and stocking duties.Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness and presentation standards.Excellent customer service skills and the ability to respond promptly to member and staff requests.Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work independently and follow established procedures.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.Basic communication skills, including the ability to read and follow written instructions.Previous custodial, porter, or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
