Job summary

Mill Creek Middle School in Claremont, NC is seeking an Assistant Softball Coach (to include Cheerleading) to support the Head Coach and athletic program under the supervision of the principal and athletic director.

Responsibilities include enforcing policies, scheduling practices and events, managing equipment, supervising staff and student-athletes, and promoting the sport within the school and community.

Qualifications

• Must follow North Carolina High School Athletic Association requirements.
• Teacher license preferred.
• Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and the community.

Responsibilities

• Implement athletic policies approved by the Board of Education and oversee staff adherence.
• Schedule practices, transportation, and tournament/sporting events in coordination with the Athletic Director.
• Maintain equipment, inventory, and ensure proper storage and safety of facilities.
