Iona University is seeking a motivated Assistant Coach for its Cross Country/Track & Field programs. The role supports the Head Coach in coaching, practice planning, recruitment, competition logistics, and student-athlete development in a competitive, inclusive team environment.

The ideal candidate will have collegiate coaching experience, solid knowledge of training principles, strong communication and leadership skills, and a commitment to academic success and integrity.

Qualificações

• Collegiate coaching experience or relevant experience in cross country and/or track & field.
• Strong knowledge of training principles and student-athlete development.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to academic success, student-athlete welfare, and institutional integrity.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and conducting practices and training sessions.
• Support recruiting communications, campus visits, and roster management.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and coordinate with support staff.
• Assist with team travel, competition preparation, and meet logistics.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies.
