DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a Specialist - Sport & Outdoor to help athletes find the right gear and deliver an engaging customer experience in-store. You will drive sales, support service execution, and bring energy and passion to every interaction on the sales floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members, focusing on best practices, selling skills, and key operational processes.
• Demonstrates efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset; ensures products are ready for athletes to purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want.
• Upholds merchandising and presentation standards by following floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promotes and drives customer participation in company programs (loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Creates a store environment where teammates and athletes are welcome and treated with respect; adheres to safety, loss prevention and SOPs, and legal guidelines.
