Westside Podiatry is seeking a confident medical billing professional with strong Athena experience to drive accurate revenue cycle activities in a fast-paced podiatry practice.

You will verify benefits, post payments, review explanations of benefits, file appeals, and collaborate with patients, providers, and insurers to optimize cash flow.

Must have at least three years of medical billing experience, pass a background check, and adhere to HIPAA and claim submission standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of in-depth medical business office experience with coding, posting, electronic remittance filing, and A/R.
• Pass criminal background check and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilités

• Insurance verification
• Reviewing explanations of benefits and correspondence
• Composing appeals and reviewing medical records
• Payment posting and writing off uncollectible accounts after review with practice manager and doctors
• Running and reviewing A/R reports with practice manager and doctors
• Identify issues with insurance companies and notify practice management
• Collaborate with Athena and manage Athena-related holds
• Scrub and edit claims prior to submission
• Review authorizations and pre-authorizations
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care products and commercial insurance
• Track and manage online insurance login information
