Job summary

Rockford Fosgate in Tempe, AZ, seeks an ATE Software Test Engineer to own the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of automated End-of-Line (EOL) test software for audio amplifiers and electronic systems. This role focuses on production readiness, test execution, and sustainment within the Quality organization.

You will implement test sequences, maintain version-controlled environments, and integrate instrumentation including DAQ, CAN/CAN-FD, BLE, and A2B.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of automated test development or production test systems experience.
• Strong experience with National Instruments LabVIEW.
• Experience with DAQ systems and test instrumentation.
• Proficiency in Python, C, or similar languages.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of production test concepts and quality data analysis.
• Ability to diagnose failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Strong documentation and version control discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated EOL test sequences using LabVIEW-based frameworks.
• Translate test specifications and DFMEA outputs into executable scripts.
• Create modular, scalable software architectures across product platforms.
• Ensure test software is version controlled, traceable, and production-ready.
• Integrate test software with DAQ systems, DMMs, power supplies, and interfaces (CAN, CAN-FD, BLE, A2B).
• Develop Python/C integrations for third-party tools and hardware.
• With data analytics, monitor first pass yield, limit drift, and failure trends.
• Support deployment across overseas manufacturing partners and on-site teams.
