Job summary

A leading automotive services company in Los Angeles seeks a Field Apprentice to learn automotive diagnostic and calibration services. Successful candidates will receive hands-on training with experienced technicians and develop vital skills in diagnostics and repairs. Strong communication and technological abilities are essential. Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Automotive Technology Support.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
  • Hands-on training with experienced Field Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the industry standard of the manufacturer’s original specifications.
  • Receive hands-on training to become a standalone technician.
  • Learn diagnostics, calibrations, scanning, and wire repair.

About ATE

At Automotive Technology Experts (ATE), we understand the importance of providing fast and accurate vehicle diagnostic scanning and calibration services. We service hundreds of customers that rely on us to ensure that the repairs they have completed are safe and that the vehicle will operate as the manufacturer had intended. ATE was founded in 2019 to provide technological and electrical repair expertise in the collision industry that struggles to stay current with the rapidly changing technology in vehicles. We employ technicians across the country. Our growth will continue as we add team members that strive to be the best, commit to taking care of our customers, and continue to train so that they can accomplish team goals and obtain career advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Learn the industry standard of the manufacturer’s original specification with high quality controls
  • Hands‑on training with an experienced Field Technicians who will guide you to be a stand alone technician
  • Learning basics of:
    • Diagnostics
    • Calibrations/programming
    • Scanning
    • Wire/Connector repair
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in Automotive Technology Support
  • Strong technological skills, including but not limited to: Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, technicians, and team members
  • Strong problem‑solving capabilities
